Shirley Wyner

Owner

Skyrocketing interest in Palm Beach real estate, and a multi-million dollar business have realtor Shirley Wyner sitting pretty. She has sold the Trump family four homes adjoining Maralago. She has acquired Hollywood celebrities and international financiers around town. She has appeared on Robin Leach, CNN, ABC and is scheduled to be interviewed by TF1 of France for its summer series, Exclusives.
Shirley Wyner, the French-born and raised owner of Barclay’s International Realty, goes from exotic parties and meeting fascinating people to unrelenting publicity on a worldwide basis. In an island town of more than 80 real estate offices, Barclays has achieved an enviable record.
“I love people” says Wyner. “During our three months each summer in Europe and the Middle East, I meet with dignitaries and major business leaders.” She speaks six language fluently as a result of her 12 years of service as a senior auditor for the United State government prior to coming to Palm Beach 27 years ago.
Shirley‘s father, a journalist for a French newspaper, passed away when she was 3 years old and her mother died 10 years later. She was raised with her brother and sister by relatives. “I was on my own at a very young age and as soon as I graduated from school, I went to work for the US Embassy in Tunisia,” she recalls. “ I had always wanted to work there and talked my way in by convincing them of my proficiency in French as well as my having a high level of accounting skills.” It worked. After a few years, she was transferred to Geneva, where she held key position in budget and finance and was responsible for the U.S. Peace Corps and several branches of the U.S. Armed Services. After stints as the auditor of the U.S. mission to the United Nations, she moved to Palm Beach and obtained her real estate license. She sold the first home she showed and at the beginning of her career, she sold the Hilton Hotel in Palm Beach.
Robert Wyner purchased the Coldwell Banker office in Palm Beach and merged it into his Barclays Group International in 1980
